A 25 year old doctor from Kerala;
Cleared the Civil services exam 2012 with All India Rank 4 in my first attempt.
My optionals were Medical Science and Malayalam literature.
Since am getting a lot of messages and phone calls for advices and strategy for the civil service exam and its impractical to reply to each and every query I thought I cud write a blog.
First of all,let me make this clear-from my experience there is no particular strategy for clearing this exam.
Each and every person is different and so are their abilities and weaknesses.
I have given 8 months of preparation for this exam including the exam time and most of the time traveled through unconventional routes of preparation.
All these methods may not be of your help.But some of these techniques could help you and I wud recomend you and only you to decide which of these to accept or reject.

like whether to read India year book , ti make notes out of newspaper and how to practice answer writing means at home or join some mock test
